Measurement

The Olpas MLSS sludge concentration sensor uses the unique Olpas ultrasound measurement technology.

The sensor is pre-calibrated. Scaling and offset can be set for installation-specific parameters.

Versions available for chain mounting and inline mounting.

Independence/insensitive
Important advantages over optical measurements:

Not sensitive to changes in fluid colour or fluid velocity
Not sensitive to changes of solids form and structure

Installation

Requirements

1 sensor (both submitter and receiver) in direct contact with fluid.

Fluid volume of +/- 60mm depth needed for measurement (width max 20mm).

Mounting options

Inline mounting: flange, mounting adaptor, vertical or horizontal
Exteneded transducer for installation with Hot-Tap retractable

Interface

Operations via Modbus interface.

No display or buttons needed.

Configuration possible via Modbus

Power

The sensor can be powered with a DC supply voltage of 6V to 24V with a nominal power consumption of 1.5W at 5V.

A measurement value is available after 3 seconds

Solar-power or battery powered possible.
