There is a big variety in industrial wastewater, and it varies significantly from urban wastewater, often presenting unique challenges such as heavy (bio)fouling, precipitation, 'fat' water, and high concentrations of dissolved materials. We understand the distinct characteristics of industrial wastewater, whether it's from agriculture, potato processing, breweries, or other food-processing industries, from paper- or textile factories or specific metalurgic processes or chemical plats. Our sensors are specifically developed to operate reliably in these specialized environments, ensuring efficient measurements tailored to your needs.

Olpas sensors generally have maintenance windows up to 4 to 7 times longer compared to traditional optical sensors.

Mounting

Olpas sensors can measure in a basin or can be installed inline. Thanks to their small size, installation is easy. And maintenance too. Also because the OLPAS Technology allows maintenance windows that are up till 4 times longer compared to traditional sensors. Without the need to use wipers or other automated mechanical cleaning.

We also have developed a "hot-tap"-retractable for easy maintenance. Thanks to the retractable the sensor can be removed and replaced without the need to stop the ongoing process.

Total Suspended Solids (TSS) is the portion of not dissolved solid particles suspended in water.
This includes organic and inorganic materials, such as silt, decaying matter, industrial wastes, and sewage.

Polymer (PE) concentration in low concentrations

Polymers are aded during the watertreatment process to enhance the removal of suspended solids and other contaminants. Olpas sensors help monitoring polymer-concentrations during the process and even in effluent.

Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) is the concentration of suspended solids in an aeration tank during the activated sludge process, which is a key parameter to monitor the active biomass.

Sludge Cake Concentration - Grabbing Solution and Sensor

The Olpas sludge concentration measurement system consists of a dataprocessor and ultrasound transducer, with a sample grabber.  The system is capable of measuring sludge in concentrations from 0 - 40 %DS. 

The Olpas ultrasound technology provides a fouling-resistant measurement of the sludge concentration, independent of sludge type or morphology.
